Make Cottage Cheese just a bit Yummy

Oh man cottage cheese is so so good for you, but it doesn’t always sound like an interesting option… or even good.

I can eat it plain out of the container but it is nice to ‘dress it up’ once in awhile. Here’s an option for you to try to use as a snack or breakfast,  make your breakfast portion nearly double so that you consume close to 300 calories (if that’s all your eating).

1/2 c FF Cottage Cheese, top with 8 Mandarin Orange Slices, a pinch of Raw Almond Slices and.. Walla!  This portion size is about 135 calories. Plate it on what you have clean… (usually a kids bowl for me)  and eat, nice to know that you’re doing yourself good!

Why I like it: The Cottage Cheese gives you the calcium and protein, mandarin oranges throw in some Vit C, and the almonds add a pinch of iron, protein and some crunch!
